Alyson is a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in evaluating and treating children diagnosed with communication disorders since 2009. She has worked in a non-profit learning center, private practice, and public school setting providing engaging, individualized and effective therapy for clients ranging in age from 18 months to 17 years. Alyson has extensive experience providing services to children on the Autism Spectrum and integrates principles of Gentle Teaching, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and Verbal Behavior methodologies into her Milieu therapy techniques. She also has expertise treating a wide variety of Receptive and Expressive Delays/Disorders including; Articulation (speech sound) Delays/Disorders, Language-Learning Disabilities, Nonverbal Learning Disability, Specific Language Impairment (SLI), Phonological Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Auditory Processing Disorder, Selective Mutism, Voice Disorders, Fragile X Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Sensorineural Hearing Loss, Fluency Disorders/Childhood Stuttering, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), and other Oral-Motor Based Communication Disorders. Alyson finds and capitalizes on the unique strengths of the clients that she is privileged to serve, in order to make progress enjoyable and attainable. In her spare time, Alyson plays with her toddler daughter and infant son. She loves to create watercolor paintings, read fiction and speech/language articles, hike and watch her children learn and grow.
